| The Implant Process |
Step 1: Consultation and planning. |
Your initial Implant Consultation will include:
- a discussion of your chief complaints
- a discussion of your goals and preferences
- a review of your dental and medical history
- a dental exam
- x-rays
|
 |
| We will develop a customized treatment plan, review it with you and help you choose the best options to meet your goals. |
| Step 2: Placing the implant(s). |
| The implants are oftentimes placed with few or no incisions. We will review your medical history with you and prescribe the proper medication to make your experience comfortable. |
 |
| Step 3: Forming and fitting the prosthetic tooth or bridge. |
| Impressions may be taken the same day the implant is placed, or we may wait up to a few months for healing to occur. Your prosthetic tooth or bridge will be fabricated and adjusted during one or more “trial fittings,” then attached to the abutment(s). We will teach you how to care for your new teeth and recommend a schedule of visits for cleaning. |
